Zerodha portfolio tracker: upload your CSV, see every position and trade

Download your holdings or tradebook CSV from Zerodha Console and upload it to the Stock Journal. Your positions are valued at NSE's closing price every night, and every closed trade shows what it made or lost.

Which Zerodha CSV files work

The Stock Journal reads the two files most Zerodha users already have. It recognises the file from its column headers, so there's nothing to rename or reformat.

  • Holdings CSV from Console (Instrument, Qty., Avg. cost, LTP…) — your current positions and their average cost.
  • The newer holdings export (Symbol, Quantity Available, Average Price) — read the same way.
  • Tradebook CSV (symbol, trade_date, trade_type, quantity, price) — every buy and sell, so closed trades and their profit are worked out for you.

What you see after the upload

One sentence tells you what your open positions are worth and the profit on them. Below it, an overview of what the portfolio is made of and the last day's move, then a table of every position you hold and every trade you've closed.

Positions are valued at NSE's official end-of-day closing price, which is refreshed once a night. Delivery, intraday and F&O entries are kept apart, so a day's scalps don't blur into your long-term holdings.

Your file stays on your device

The CSV is opened in your browser. Only the rows it finds — symbol, date, side, quantity and price — are sent and saved to your journal. Your client ID, name and the rest of the file never leave your device.

Common questions

Do I need to give Arthtome my Zerodha login or API key?

No. You download a CSV from Zerodha Console yourself and upload it. Arthtome never connects to your Zerodha account and never sees your login.

Which is better to upload, holdings or tradebook?

Upload holdings for a quick snapshot of what you own today. Upload the tradebook to also get your closed trades and the profit or loss on each one.

How often are prices updated?

Once a night, from NSE's official end-of-day file. The journal shows closing prices, not live ticks.

Can I add stocks bought on another broker?

Yes. Any NSE stock can be added by hand with its date, quantity and price, alongside what came from your Zerodha CSV.

Ready when you are. It takes about two minutes.
