A trading journal for Indian stocks: every trade, every result
Log each trade once and let the journal keep score. Open positions and closed trades sit apart, delivery, intraday and F&O never mix, and every closed trade shows exactly what it made or lost.
Why keep a trading journal
Memory is kind to winners and quiet about losers. A journal records every entry and exit as it happened, so you can look back at what you actually did: how long you held, what size you traded, and how each kind of trade turned out.
Kept in a spreadsheet, a journal is one more chore. Here, each trade is a row you add in seconds — or hundreds of rows at once from your broker's tradebook.
What the Stock Journal records
Each entry is a stock, a date, a side, a quantity and a price. From those, the journal works out the rest.
- Segment: delivery, intraday or F&O, filtered separately.
- Open positions with their average price and value at NSE's latest close.
- Closed trades with entry, exit and profit or loss: (exit − entry) × quantity, the other way round for a short.
- A CSV download of the whole journal (Premium), for your own records or spreadsheet.
What it leaves out
Brokerage and other charges aren't included in profit figures, so they show the trade itself. The journal shows facts about your own trades; it never suggests a trade.

Common questions
Is this trading journal free?
Yes, you can add unlimited trades for free. The free plan shows your two largest positions and two latest closed trades in full; Premium shows every position and trade in full and adds the CSV download.
Can I journal options and futures trades?
Yes. Choose the F&O segment when you add a trade. F&O trades are kept apart from delivery and intraday trades.
Does it work with brokers other than Zerodha?
Trades from any broker can be added by hand. CSV import currently reads Zerodha's holdings and tradebook formats.
Ready when you are. It takes about two minutes.
