Why track from a CAS

Your CAS lists every mutual fund folio under your PAN that's held in statement form, whichever AMC or app you bought through. Tracking from it means no typing, no missed SIP instalments and no guessing at purchase prices.

What the Mutual Fund Journal shows

After the upload you get a summary of the whole portfolio and a table of every fund.

  • Current value at AMFI's latest NAV and the change since the previous NAV.
  • Profit or loss on the units you still hold, and total return in percent.
  • XIRR for each fund and for the whole portfolio — a yearly return that accounts for when each SIP went in.
  • Each fund's share of your portfolio, and how closely each pair of your funds moves.
  • Direct or Regular plan, shown under each fund's name.

Funds not in your CAS

Bought through a platform that doesn't appear in your CAS? Add those funds by hand: each purchase and redemption is its own row, and you can edit them later.

Common questions

Is a mutual fund tracker from a CAS safe?

The CAS PDF is opened in your browser and never uploaded. Only the fund transactions (fund name, ISIN, date, amount, units and NAV) are sent. Your name, PAN, address, folio numbers and bank details are not.

How often are fund values updated?

Every night, after AMFI publishes the day's NAVs (usually after 11 PM IST).

Does it work with a summary CAS?

Use a detailed CAS. A summary CAS only has closing balances, not the purchases needed for profit and XIRR.

Ready when you are. It takes about two minutes.
